Amity Peters Author Biography

E-mail Print PDF

I write as Amity Peters. No, that picture isn't me. It's of St. Clare of Assisi. And no, I'm not saying I'm saintly. But, if I have anyone whom I would pattern myself on, aside from the Blessed Mother, it's Clare.

Several of my student's parents, and others, would be amazed, even shocked and dismayed, to find me writing contemporary paranormal fiction. You see, I teach High School in a fairly conservative part of the American midwest.

I was, however, both delighted and surprised when Sleeping Beagle Books contracted for not one, but three, of my novels, to come out sometime in late 2009 and 2010, pending progress on editing and all the things that happen to a manuscript in the hands of a publisher. These aren't my first publications. I've penned and published a number of nonfiction articles in journals and magazines, as well as some nonfiction books, under my "real" name.

When I have covers and blurbs, I'll post the details here on pages for each book.  The titles are The Nick of Time, Wolf's Grove, and The Living Years.

Look for them in late 2009 and 2010 from Sleeping Beagle Books.

It's an exciting venture.
